One of the hardest subjects for any church leader to discuss with members is the need of giving. And yet, it is a necessary function of leadership to make those of the church aware of needs and how their tithes and offerings are used to further the Gospel and not simply collected to internalize, to among other things, keep the lights on and the building warm in winter and cool in summer. And in this sermon on explaining giving, Pastor Tim Bresnahan speaks and teaches on how we as believers are conduits of Christ and his love to both Christians and others and how we are called to be stewards of God’s blessings in our lives. For God is not pleased if our giving comes from a sense of guilt or out of compulsion. No, what He instead desires is the one who is a cheerful giver, one whose motivation comes purely from the love they hold for Him and from the desire to see the Gospel go forth in the effort of reaching others, for wanting to snatch others from an eternal judgement and to come to know the love of God and the salvation He offers through the Lord Jesus.
