What is your filter in life? Is it stuck in the present with all it’s concerns and needs? If it is, it is a short-sighted view you are taking. We all need to take an eternal view of life, as this life we live, even if it extends for five score years is less than a flicker when compared to eternity. And it’s the eternal view of life we need to take. It is a life that can, thanks to Christ Jesus extend forever in joyous fellowship with God, and those we love and know, but it is only possible by accepting, receiving God’s gift of salvation in Christ. And in this sermon by Pastor Tim Bresnahan taken from Luke 2:8-14, we learn not only why Jesus is the reason for the season, but how his birth leads to the greatest gift anyone can possible receive, and that is salvation from the penalty, and judgment of sin.
