One of the difficulties, a problem in the church today is the lone wolf Christian. The one who isolates themselves from the fellowship offered by being a member of a local church. For choosing such a way of life the lone wolf state such things as past hurts done to them by other Christians, or they rather just listen to sermons on radio, or watch a church service on TV, forgetting completely the commandment found in Hebrews 10:24-25, ‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…’ So in this sermon by Pastor Tim Bresnahan taken from both Genesis 4 & Acts 2 (with a nod to John 17:20-22)we explore the damage we cause ourselves, our walk with Christ, and the blessings lost by us and others by holding onto past hurts or wrong understandings in choosing the life of the lone wolf Christian over the sometimes imperfect joys of Christian fellowship.
